Mapping the bends of our wild journey with God through visual art.
About
Hello, my name is Jasmine Mollison. I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember—ever since I first picked up a pencil. My journey into graphic design began at thirteen, when my grandmother gave me a book on Photoshop. I was instantly hooked. Over the past fifteen years, my work has grown to span a wide range of design disciplines, alongside more traditional art forms such as calligraphy and watercolour.
The name Wild Bend Studios is drawn from my Dutch maiden name, Ruigrok. It is generally understood to come from ruig (meaning “rough” or “wild”) and rok—a variation of hoek (meaning “corner” or “bend”)—suggesting a “wild bend” or “rugged corner,” likely describing a feature in the landscape. My own life has been something of a wild ride, so it felt only fitting that my work would carry a name that reflects that journey. A wild bend can be risky, but it also brings a sense of anticipation—after all, who knows what lies just around the corner?
Art is much the same. It can be unpredictable, even challenging, yet full of unexpected beauty. Like a traveller rounding a bend to find a still lake and distant mountains glowing at sunset, there is something profoundly moving in what awaits. Art and design are like that—an unfolding, a discovery, a gift.
